I started playing video games in bars & cocktail lounges in the early 80's. My first console was an Atari and have every console made since then. I bought my first computer in 1997 to do CADD work. My first game was Age of Empires.
On Thanksgiving of 2004 I became blind because of a brain tumor that developed because off my exposure to Agent Orange while in combat operations in Vietnam. After Many surgery's and lots of therapy, I have regained most of my eyesight back in my right eye (20/50). I was also left cross eyed.
On the advice of a Doctor, I started playing PC games to strengthen the muscles in my eyes. I started playing Total War, Then European War & Fight Back. By my next Dr'.s appointment ( 4 months later) they were very surprised to see that my eyes were not crossed. It is now 2008 and I have continued to play PC & console games to keep my eye muscle's in shape, even though I cannot see clearly or very far.
